This week's assignment is on investment function in the overall operations of insurance companies. Please find an insurance and or finance company and describe their overall investments. You do not need an article for this week's assignment, but you can use one if it describes the operations of the insurance company! The company must be a public company so you are able to retrieve their financial statements. To retrieve the financial statement go to finance.yahoo.com and type in the ticker, then click on Financials and then you can chose between Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow. I am interested in you describing the following items that are displayed in exhibit 7.1 (p. 137) and 7.2 (p. 139) showing the asset distribution and or investments by type for the company.
