Those who argue for mandatory vaccinations in the workplace often cite the importance of health and safety. They believe that organizations have the right to set standards for employment including health requirements that protect the collective workforce. They also believe that mandates are necessary to control the spread of the pandemic and protect public health. On the other hand, those who oppose mandatory vaccinations emphasize ethical considerations and personal autonomy. While safety is important, coercion undermines moral principles and can destroy trust between employers and employees. I would suggest that there are other more ethical ways to increase vaccination rates through education, incentives, and community engagement. Respecting individual autonomy can promote trust and sustainability in the workplace. Balancing health and ethics are a challenging task but with careful planning and implementation it is possible to increase vaccination rates while respecting individual rights and promoting trust, rather than coercion
