TIME STUDY USING SNAPBACK METHOD

1. Choose a particular process with long-cycled elements as subject for snapback time study. 2. Select a qualified average operator. 3. Analyze the job and break it down into elements. 4. Using the snapback method of stopwatch reading, observe the operator and record significant information using the time study form. 5. Record the elemental time values. 6. Rate the performance of the operator using overall rating. 7. Assign appropriate allowances for fatigue, personal delays, and unavoidable delays. 8. Work up the study by computing the elapsed elemental time using the red-inked pen. 9. Calculate the allowed elemental time and the standard time.
