Title: Job Training Program
One of the key roles of managers and supervisors is to train and develop new employees. However, effective training is planned and well-thought out before the employee is hired. Your construction company is growing and needs to hire several new employees to meet the market demand and meet the schedules for the projects planned for the year. You have been asked to design a safety and basic construction training program for the entry-level workers that are scheduled to start on the first workday in January. The Human Resources manager has asked for your help in training the new workers for the upcoming year.
Instructions:
Devise a detailed training plan for the new entry-level workers that includes new-hire orientation, basic construction safety, job orientation, basic job skills, advanced job skills, or other training for the year. The plan should cover the first year and sessions can be scheduled periodically (monthly or quarterly). For each training session include the topic, duration, instructional aids needed, and any assessments you plan to use to gauge whether the training was successful. Explain if the training sessions are planned to be conducted on-site, off-site, during work hours, or paid overtime on the weekends?
