Tomas hired a local contractor to remodel a bathroom in his house. The contractor specified that he would charge $12,000 for the entire remodel. Halfway through the remodel, Tomas paid the contractor $6,000 for the job. Unfortunately, after that, the contractor never showed up to finish the bathroom. Tomas spent approximately $50 dollars in gas, vehicle depreciation, and vehicle insurance searching for a new contractor and also lost $100 for missing one day at work. He needed to miss a day of work in order to make appointments with the contractors. Because of the time it took to find the new contractor, Tomas was not able to finish the bathroom by the 1st and he ended up losing an additional $1,050 of rent. The new contractor charged Tomas $8,000 to finish the remainder of the bathroom. If Tomas sues the original contractor for a breach of contract, what would be the amount of expectation damages?
