Topic 1:Ethical Dilemmas

What does "ethical dilemma" mean? What do you think would be the worst type of ethical dilemma a police officer could face? How would you handle that dilemma if you were the officer?

Topic 2:Should Private Lives Be Private?

Should criminal justice professionals (judges, prosecutors, probation/parole officers, correctional officers, police officers) be held to a higher ethical standard than everyone else? Should society care if they post provocative or political comments or cartoons on Facebook, or regularly drink to excess, or have an extramarital affair, or are abusive towards their partner, or gamble? Why or why not?
