A singer and company entered into a contract in writing that the singer promised to perform for the new year's party and company promised to pay singer 1,000. Three days before the part, Singer asked the company to pay an additional $200.00 or he will not perform. The company had no choice but agreed to pay the singer the additional $200.00 ( which brings the total payment to 1,200). When the New year's party was over, the company paid the singer only 1,000 as they had originally agreed upon. In a suit by the singer to claim the additional $200.00 against the company to claim the additional $200 against the company. Will the singer be successful? Suppose when the singer asked the company to pay the additional $200 fee, the company denied his request. However, Rich, who is a big fan of the singer agreed to pay the additional $200.00. When the New year's party was over, the company paid the singer only $1,000.00. Is the singer entitled to request Rich to pay $200.00? Why or why not?
