Training Go to www.ted.com, the website for TED, a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas through short talks. TED stands for "Technology, Entertainment, and Design." Choose a TED Talk and watch it. As you decide which to choose, be sure to choose a talk that would apply to a workplace situation in which it could be used for training. Discussion Checklist: 1. Briefly describe the purpose and content of the talk. 2. Next, consider the speaker. What did the speaker do that held (or distracted) your attention? 3. What did you learn from the presentation that you could apply to designing effective training? 4.
