Transformational leadership refers to "a pattern of behaviour in which the leader inspires followers to commit to a shared vision that provides meaning to their work while also serving as a role model who helps followers develop their own potential and view problems from new perspectives". Assess Shackleton's leadership and provide specific support as to whether or not Shackleton was a transformational leader based on the extent to which he exhibited each of the four facets of transformational leadership - intellectual stimulation, inspirational motivation, individualized consideration, and idealized influence.
