Treatment Group Proposal:Addiction

• Purpose: Statement of purpose, specify and justify the type of treatment group (female adolescents addiction residential facilities psychoeducational group and a closed group); what are the qualifications of the social work group leader/ facilitator?

1. What is the group's purpose: a brief statement of the group's purpose
2. that includes information on the problems or issues the group is designed to address, the range of individual and group goals to be accomplished, and how individual members and the group as a whole might work together.

• Membership: Specific population for the group ( female adolescents addiction residential facilities), cultural mix and demographic characteristics ( 5 to 6 members of any race/cultural and from all demographics who are within the residential facility), whether involuntary group members will be included ( would be included court-ordered members, members bought in by family members, and members within the residential facility).
• Statement of Need: Why is there a need for a group to serve this target population(female adolescents in addiction residential facilities)in the area of California?

1. How can adolescents in addiction residential facilities help teens within the community?
2. What is the importance of having treatment groups for adolescents in addiction residential facilities?

• Recruitment: Method to recruit potential members as well as screening and selection procedures.
• Recruitment of methods such as creating a website, getting members from within the court system, getting members already staying within the treatment facility, speaking at public meetings, and publishing announcements in organization actions such as Hospitals.
