Tree-ring dates were used extensively in archaeological studies at Burnt Mesa Pueblo (Bandelier Archaeological Excavation Project: Summer 1989 Excavations at Burnt Mesa Pueblo, edited by Kohler, Washington State University Department of Anthropology).
