Two large porous plates are placed in parallel at a small distance L from each other. The top plate at y = L is held at T = T1 and the bottom plate at y = 0 at a lower temperature T0. An ideal gas at T0 temperature is blown upwards through the pores in order to reduce the heat that must be removed from the lower plate. Using the general equations, find the temperature distribution and the required heat (q0) to be removed from the unit area of the cold plate depending on the properties of the fluid and the velocity of the gas.
