Two students decided that, as a summer job, they would run dances every Saturday night from June until September.  They rented a local hall, and paid the owner a $500.00 deposit, each contributing $250.00 of this amount.  The students agreed that any profits they made would be split equally between them, and that they would consult each other about all aspects of organizing dances.  The thought of partnership never crossed their minds
