Amanda is an administrative staff at the Island Docks Supplies Ltd, she started working on 03 January 2023 and was on probation for a period of 3 months before her employment was confirmed. She has since found her that she is 3 months pregnant. There are no plans for Marriage yet Amanda and her boyfriend John are still staying with their own family. John wants to take leave from work to be with Amanda at the time of birth, John has only worked for 5 months for Sunset Restaurant and Bar. Is Amanda entitled to Maternity leave? How much leave days and payment is Amanda expected to receive if any? Are there any implication to leave entitlement for John and Amanda given their relationship status? How much leave is John entitled to if he wants to take time to support Amanda? Would your answer change if John was employment with the Ministry of Agri- culture?
