Unfortunately, due to the high cost, many families cannot afford them, so they end up putting their older relatives into cheaper facilities with lackluster caretakers. Granted, elder abuse can happen ANYWHERE, but it takes place way too often at these facilities; you hear about it on the news more often than not.
