Assignment Requirements

Carrying forward the first assignment of this lesson, which was based on the Quality Windows Limited scenario, in this assignment you will write a summary report that describes the impact to existing access controls after adding Active Directory. Your report should summarize the advantages of using Active Directory and the challenges you must address. You should explain how user accounts and access control will change or be affected, and how you will address any difficulties. Your summary report should provide proper justification to the following questions:

$$ Consider how the user accounts are created and maintained in workgroup computers. How will that change with the addition of Active Directory?

$$ What happens to existing user accounts?

$$ How will multiple users defined on separate computers be handled?

$$ How will the access controls be handled differently in Active Directory as opposed to workgroup computers?

$3.$ Collate the advantages and challenges of adding Active Directory.

$4.$ Write answers to specific questions provided in the assignment.

$5.$ In a Microsoft Word document, organize the above information in a summary report.

$6.$ Make sure that the report reflects the proper justification of each point and is supported by facts and figures.

$7.$ Format the report as per the requirements in the assignment.

$8.$ If there are any references provided, make sure that they follow the MLA style guide.

$9.$ Read through the report and remove any technical, language, and formatting issues.

$10.$ Submit the report to the instructor.
