In this unit, students will:

Describe how and why to use digital marketing for multiple goals within larger marketing and/or media strategy

Review of the elements of the SOSTAC Planning System to prepare for Digital Marketing Plan creation

Unit 2!The second unit of this class will run for three weeks (weeks 2-4 of class) and focuses on the Situation Analysis of the SOSTAC method. Students will form teams and begin working on a course project that lasts the duration of the next 7 weeks of this course.

In this unit, students will:

.Recognize the stages of the buyer's journey

.Generate a Consumer Persona and Consumer Journey Map

.Review the strategies and outcomes of a corporate digital presence through an audit

.Describe the strengths and weakness of competitors and substitutes

.Illustrate the unique selling point (USP) of a brand or product

Unit 3!covering the 5th and 6th weeks of class, centers on Objectives, Strategies, and Tactics of the SOSTAC method.

Identify key traits, differences, and advantages of essential digital media channels

Select the appropriate digital marketing tool(s) based on the business need
