How do they differ from the federal government to your state? Explain a program that exists at the federal level to help victims of crime. Be sure you explain who it focuses on, what the qualifications are and how the program helps victims. What victims' rights and compensation programs exist in your state? Find at least one example from your state. Be sure to explain who it focuses on, what the qualifications are and how the program helps victims. Imagine you were a victim of crime. Would you know these programs exist or how to find them? Is the process difficult? Would you be able to do this without a victim advocate? You may share any of your other thoughts regarding the programs in this section. Do you think more victim assistance services are needed in your state? Federally?
