But reality caught up with Ketchup long before he could pilfer a pen, pen register, or wiretap device. While Dregan rejected the FBI's advances, Stephens had been working with special agents Jo and Hyanschortt. He wore a wire to his meeting with Ketchup, who was arrested and charged with conspiracy, honest services fraud, and several counts pursuant to ECPA.
