Upcoming Assignment: Bibliography and Outline Hello Everyone, I am writing to reiterate what we discussed in class on November 2nd about the assignment on outline + bibliography for the research paper. I will be giving out the research question in class and you will have to develop a thesis statement, topic sentences + quotations from the poem and the short story for the body paragraphs, and identify three secondary sources using the library.You must attend the class to work on and submit this assignment. For the research paper consider: 1) Look at the poem \"There will come soft rains\" and Bradbury\'s short story by the same title [both are available on UR COurse]. Now think about the specific words, phrases, sentences, that create a sense of utopia in the poem and a sense of dystopia in the short story. 2) What is the function of the poem in the story? Consider the structural, contextual, and philosophical aspects highlighted by Bradbury by embedding this well-known poem into his story. 3) What is the role of humanity in each of these texts? In other words, consider how the poem represents the the humans [in their absence] in relation to the utopia? Similarly, consider the how humanity is presented in the short story and what responsibility do we see between the humans and their actions? Remember, you don\'t get an exact question from the above examples. But these questions would help you collect your thoughts so that you can address the research question in class on NOV 16TH.
