Assignment Case
You are the sales manager at Hoosier Health Depot, a home health and medical supplies wholesaler. One of your responsibilities is to monitor and evaluate the performance of sales associates. There are currently five temporary sales associates. Their one-year probationary period is up, and your task is to analyze their sales records and customer service ratings to decide who will be hired for the three permanent positions with Hoosier Health Depot and who will be terminated.
The monthly sales records of the five sales associates were tabulated below. A common benchmark expected of probationary sales associates is to achieve average sales of $62,000 over the six months. While the average sets the threshold, month-to-month changes should be considered also (i.e., whether the sales were improving or trending downward.

Another important performance measure is medical supply store owners/managers evaluation of the associates product knowledge and service quality. Customer ratings must be considered in your hiring and termination decisions. Typically, average ratings of 4.25 or higher (on a 5-point scale) are expected
