Use an absolute cell reference to calculate sales tax and amount of purchase.

Linda Young is purchasing a new kayak and related gear, calculate the Grand Total for her purchase.

Open the Excel workbook Excel$\_$Module$\_02.$xlsx$.$ Please access the file on Modules $2$ page.

In cell F$6$ enter the following sales tax rate: $0\mathrm{.}07$ convert to percentage.

In cells F$9,$ F$10,$ F$11,$ F$12,$ F$13$ and F$14$ enter a formula that calculates the sales tax for each item $($use absolute cell reference$).$

For example, Amount shown in E$9*$ cell address for the tax rate then copy to cell range F$9$:F$14.$

Then total the Amount plus Sales Tax $($E$9+$ F$9)$ and copy to cell range $($G$9$:G$14)$ and then AutoSum to Grand Total.

Enter your Grand Total $\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_($include $2$ decimals$)$ NOTE: Sales Tax is a random number and will change with each attempt.
