BConsider a manufacturing system including four workstations. Parts visit the workstations in the following order: Workstation 1- Workstation 2- Workstation 3- Workstation 4. The arrival time of the first part is zero. The interarrival time for the part is 12 minutes. We ignore the time spent to transfer a part from one workstation to another. We assume that the processing times on all workstations are constant (find the values in the table below). One of the two type of failures may be observed at each workstations (they are called "major" and "jam"). Uptimes follow exponential distribution, while the repair times follow uniform distribution. The mean values for the exponential distributions, and lower and upper bounds for the uniform distributions are given in the table below. Note that all values are given in minutes. For all failures, use "preempt" rule. Run the simulation for 10,000 minutes. Find the percentage of time that the failure state is observed t each workstationStep by Step Solution
