Use of JASP is mandatory

The SAT and the ACT are the two major standardized tests that American colleges use

to evaluate candidates. The data file SATACT.savcontains the scores of 60 students who

took both tests (Moore & McCabe, 1998). Answer the following questions regarding the

relationship between the two tests.

• Plot the data with SAT on the x axis and ACT on the y axis. Describe the overall pattern.
• What is the correlation between the tests? Test the significance of the correlation.
• Apply a simple regression analysis to the data (IV = SAT & DV = ACT). Provide the results of the significance test for the slope.
