Use the su command to switch to the root user. Enter the password. Many of the log files are located in the $/$varllog directory. View the boot.log file using cat. The boot.log file shows messages such as the services that were started. Use the tail $-$f command to view the $/$var$/$log$/$messages; they will display as they happen. CTRL$-$C when finished. Review the output and note which thread appears to have a bug.
