User-Centred Design (UCD) is one of the important processes or methods to ensure users or stakeholders to be included inclusively in the design activities.

UCD is an iterative design process in which designers focus on the users and their needs in each phase of the design process. In UCD, design teams involve users throughout the design process via a variety of research and design techniques, to create highly usable and accessible products for them.

One of the techniques to practice UCD is by including users in the design process which know known as Participatory Design (PD). PD is a process that involves developers, business representatives, and users working together to design a solution. It actively involves users in the design process to help ensure that the product designed meets their needs and is usable in the process.

QUESTIONS: 1. Based on the brief scenario, identify 3 (three) main users or stakeholders of the mobile application. (3 marks)

2. With reference to the above scenario, explain how PD can be applied in the process of designing the mobile application. (7 marks)

3. Discuss how the design of the mobile application described in the scenario could fail if UCD is not used/applied in the development process.
