Using Excel File

Q 1) A Restaurant is planning to make 4 different sandwiches. A marketing consultant predicted that they can charge $13 for each Combo Sandwich (CS), $12 for each Deluxe Sandwich (DS), $11 for each Regular sandwich (RS) and $10 for each petite one (PS). The cost of making these sandwiches will be $3.00 for petite ones (PS), and is $4 for RS, $5 for DS and $8 for CS. Also the advertising cost per sandwich is $2.0, regardless of its kind. It takes

15 minutes to make a Combo sandwich (CS), it takes 12 minutes to make a Deluxe sandwich (DS), it also takes 12 minutes to make a Regular sandwich (RS) & it takes 10 minutes to make the a Petite Sandwich. . Find the number of each sandwich that the restaurant has to sell to maximize its profit (not the revenue) with the following constraints.

  • maximum advertising budget is $1,500 for that week
  • the restaurant has to have a minimum of 100 of CS, minimum 100 of DS, and minimum of 200 of RS & PS sandwiches per week.
  • the restaurant has 5 people who make sandwiches they only work up to 200 hours per week
  • we should not have partial sandwich your decision should be based on making a whole sandwich.

**Answer these questions:

  • What is the profit?
  • Do we have any Slack or Surplus? if yes, where?
  • how much more profit do they have if they add $100 to their advertising budget?
