Problem 3: Secant Method (Chapra, Chapter 6 and Problems 6.6 and 6.7). a) Solve f(x) = x3-5x + 3 = 0 using the secant method (by hand or by using a spreadsheet). Use xo 1.0, XI-20 as your initial values. Use 5D (decimal points). b) Develop an M-file for the secant method. Along with the two initial guesses, pass the function as an argument. c) Develop an M-file for the modified secant method (Section 6.3).
