Using the interactive HEAT map, pick three countries (one being the U.S.) to research using the map and other sources at this link. One country must have an overall score higher than the U.S. and one country must have a lower overall score. Explain the overall score of the country, than pick three of the given characteristics and tell what each country scores in that area. Use the same characteristics for each country. Explain why each country has their scores. Remember to write using economic terminology. The actions of many countries including the U.S. will lower their scores as many freedoms have been curtailed. Court cases challenging the eroding of our freedoms are working their way through the court system. At the end of the day the citizens and residents of a place will determine whether we get our freedoms back as governments are counting on people willingly giving up their freedoms and currently do not have a plan to stop people from just ignoring unconstitutional edits, for example the ruling from Cuomo, the governor of New York, dictating how many people you could have over for Thanksgiving. In New York at least three sheriffs stated they would not enforce that edict and many people just ignored it.
