Using the materials and methods discussed in Chapter 2 and 3 of the book, An Introduction to Project Management Seventh Edition, prepare a (modified) business case for your project idea using the supplied business case template and financial calculations template.
Place your project within your current or former company. The key here is to be addressing a problem or an opportunity by suggesting a project to solve the problem / take advantage of an opportunity. For example, running a recruiting campaign can be a project, but what problem is it solving? Understanding and stating the problem is the starting point.
This is NOT a summary of a project that has already been done, this assignment is about assessing a problem / opportunity and proposing how to address it.
Your project is subject to these constraints: there is a budget of $150,000; a project team of 4 people; and the project must be completed within 2 - 3 years. Your project financials will use a discount rate of 4%.
Your business case should be 1 - 1.5 pages in length, not including attachments.
Attachments include the financial analysis template, a fully developed weighted scoring model, and references.
Any information presented in the business case should be sourced using the APA method of in-text citations, with references attached.
