Containment, Eradication, and Recovery Now that you know your car is stolen and have secured your safety, what is your next series of steps. Include contacting law enforcement, providing statement, contacting insurance, procuring temporary transportation (cab or uber), rental, contacting security companies like on star, receiving insurance payment, taking possession of vehicle if recovered, purchasing new vehicle if stolen vehicle not recovered, etc. Use an outline format to list out the series of steps you would take in each case.

Post-incident What things might you need to review or update after this incident? For example, reviewing or updating insurance to better cover theft, resubscribing to security services (onstar), self-defense courses, concealed carry course/certification, first aid courses, vehicle selection, etc?
