Victory Sdn. Bhd. produces 'Speed' a sporty component car in market. The company normally produces 45,000 units of 'Speed' per annum. However, production can vary from 40,000 to 50, 000 units per annum depending on the current market demand. The selling price of 'Speed' is RM135 per unit. The following data relates to the costs incurred per unit of 'Speed'. Direct material costs Direct labour Variable manufacturing overhead Variable selling and distribution overhead Variable administration overhead RM22 5 hours @ RM6 per hour RM15 RM4 RM2 The company incurred fixed manufacturing overhead of RM56,250 per quarter. Meanwhile, the fixed administration overhead is amounted to RM125,000 per annum. During the first quarter of the 2021, the company produced 12,000 unit of 'Speed' but only 95% of the unit produced were sold. The closing balances of 2,000 unit of 'Speed' was recorded from the last quarter 2020. Required: (a) Determine the production costs per unit of 'Maroon' using both Marginal and Absorption costing approach. (5 marks) (b) Prepare Statement of Comprehensive Income for the first quarter 2021 using the Absorption Costing method and Marginal Costing. (20 marks) (c) Prepare a Net Profit Reconciliation Statement for the first quarter 2021 based on answer in (b)
