Virginia, an eighty-eight year old widow, lives with her son, Brandon. Brandon prevents his brothers and sisters from having any communication with their mother. Although Virginia owns her own home, she is unable to live on her own and depends on Brandon. Brandon tells Virginia that she should deed the property to him in order "to keep the government from getting it" in the event that she would have to stay in a long-term care facility. Virginia protests, saying "but I want to divide my property equally among all my children." Brandon insists that his brothers and sisters have said that they do not want to have anything to do with their mother, nor do they have any interest in her property (all of which is untrue).
