Visions are like targets that motivates to work towards them. After salary, purpose is the most important criteria for me at work. A company without any vision doesn't have a well articulated purpose. Hence it will be difficult for me to relate to my work.Moreover, I may not know what to expect from the company in the long run $-$ what kind of work would I be doing, what customers would I be serving etc. In companies like Google and Amazon, employees very well know how the picture of future looks like.
