Visit a fabric store or fabric department within a store.

Survey the various woven fabrics on display and note the wide variety of fabrics and possible end uses.

Examine 10 different woven fabrics and note the following about each (a pick glass will be helpful):

Name (if indicated)

Fiber content (check label)

Yarn type

Weave

Width

Cost

Possible end use (Be sure all are not apparel fabrics [include one of each upholstery, decorative pillow, drapery])

Record on the worksheet the results of your survey.
