Warren, a relatively new property manager, presented his management proposal to some potential clients. They were an attentive audience. After carefully reviewing and discussing Warren's plans for the property, the clients are eager to hire him. At the same time, though, they make it very clear that they intend to approve almost none of the proposed changes that Warren considers essential$-$or at least important.

Warren must:

$-$ assume that they have not understood the importance of the changes and go over that portion of the plan with them again

$-$refuse to work with them unless they agree to all essential components of the plan and provide a guaranty

$-$decide whether working with them on those terms will be acceptable to him

$-$refuse to work with them, since it's clear that they do not intend to fulfill the legal responsibilities of property ownership
