Reflect upon the ways in which these two children might be similar AND/OR diffferent as it relates to:

1. How cognitive and physical maturation will contribute to the development of their emotions.

2. How they use social referencing and what information they may gain from it.

3. Their future development of Theory of Mind.

4. What they need as far as appropriate responsivity from attachment figures.

6. What are THREE ways in which we could measure their temperament in the lab?

5. Each child's likely ratings on Rothbart's definitions of temperament (effortful control, negative affectivity, extraversion/surgency). Be sure to explain how each may lead to a higher likelihood of displaying later Internalizing OR Externalizing behaviors.

6. Each child's response to benign but novel objects. How does this relate to Behavioral Inhibition?

7. Likelihood of stability of these temperamental traits over time? Be sure to bring in evidence here in order to inform your speculation.

8. Each child's physiological traits (e.g., DRD4; EEG asymmetry; amygdala reactivity).

8. What are our primary concerns or hopes for the future traits of these babies (e.g., what are the potential long term outcomes associated with these temperaments - both positive and negative)?

9. What are some ways in which any negative outcomes could be mitigated (e.g., intervention)?
