Water is flowing in a pipe which splits into two channels that exit to atmosphere at sea level as shown in Figure 16. The diameter of the pipe is 0.5 m and the diameter of both channels at point 2 and 3 is 0.4 m. The volumetric flowrate in the two channels is 275 m3/h. If the absolute pressure in the pipe at point 1 is 135 kPa, show the complete linear momentum balance in x and y directions and determine the magnitude of minimum force that the bolts should withstand to keep the pipe to be stationary.
