1. Way back in the early 1900s, K donated a piece of his property to the community so that it could have a public school. Over the years, the city built a new school elsewhere. The old school was used for many things including storage of school furniture and equipment, and as a garage for school buses. When the old school was torn down, and the land was then used as a practice athletic field and then as a parking lot which makes a little money for the school. Rumor has it that this land might be sold to a developer who would construct an assisted living facility for some of the people that had actually attended school on this site.
