We are going to play a game of Value Added Information. There will be one disussion to adderss the following: Centralized Management, Decentralized Management, Tall Organizations, Flat Organizations, Wide Span of Control and Narrow Span of Control. Each student should enter at least four of these categories and leave a Reply Thread that states the name of a company that fits that category and why it does. For example, McDonald's handles its purchasing and promotion centrally even though they are an extremely large franchise, so I would enter the thread for Centralized Management and leave my info on McDonald's there with an explanation as to why I think they are centralized. Then I would do the same for three other companies. Students will also be required to comment on at least three other students' choices.
