We CAN use a Pearson's r correlation to help us make a case for causation between 2 variables If we add correlational studies to other types of studies, then we can begin to put together a stronger set of arguments to suggest that one variable causes another. These other studies are controlled, experimental studies. The real question is why? Why do we need to do these types of studies to establish causation? Do we just do one study or more?
