We spent time looking at power and influence -- and its impact on ethics. We explored five ethical perspectives or preferences that shape the way we take decisions as an individual and ultimately as a leader. Which of the five ethical perspectives or preferences do you think is your default - your "do to" when the stakes are high, the issue is highly emotive and you have limited options. Please take a few minutes and reflect on a recent decision you made that was difficult or challenging - to change jobs or not; to break self-isolation or not; to wear a mask or not; to share good or bad news; to make someone redundant; to eat a piece of cake on a diet. Consider the following questions: What was the source of difficulty or challenge? What were the assumptions I was making about the person, situation and/or environment? What did I really want to do?
