We talked a lot about traditional Make to Stock Systems vs. more modern Make to Order Systems, and more recent questioning of Make to Order systems given all the risks out there. Characterize these two approaches in terms of various dimensions of forecasting, customer choice, production technologies, supplier relationships, JIT vs. JIC resupply, warehouse use or not, types of transportation, etc. Also what are advantages and disadvantages of each approach.
