Your Honda Accord gives 30 miles per gallon with neat gasoline, what would be the mileage you would expect to get with an E10 blend? You will have to account for both the calorific value of E10 relative to neat gasoline as well as the improvement in engine efficiency. From your answer, which fuel would you choose? (c) (20pts) If neat gasoline costs $1.75 per gallon and pure ethanol costs $1.25 per gallon, what would you expect the price of E10 blend to be? Based on your price estimates, which fuel would you choose? (Hint - calculate miles per dollar to compare). (d) (10pts) Finally, it is estimated that ethanol has 50% less CO2 emissions than gasoline on a per gallon basis. Given all of the information thus far, what is your final preferred fuel - E10 or neat gasoline
