Week 1: MindTap Descriptive Statistics Excel Learning Activities & Assignments[WLOs: 1, 2, 3] [CLOs: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]

Prior to beginning work on the MindTap Excel Activities, read Chapter 1: Data and Statistics (NON-GRADED), Chapter 2: Descriptive Statistics: Tabular and Graphical Displays (NON- GRADED), and Chapter 3: Descriptive Statistics: Numerical Measures (GRADED) in the eBook. In MindTap click on the Getting Ready Read the eBook link to access Chapters 1, 2 and 3.

Click on theWeek 1 MindTap Descriptive Statistics link to access the eBook and complete the assigned Microsoft Excel Online activities (1) Videos and Practice and (2) Exploring Statistics for Chapter 3.

NOTE: Chapters 1 and 2 are PRACTICE chapters (not required) and do not count towards the grade. Only Chapter 3 is graded. Although you may see points in Mindtap for Chapters 1 and 2, they are not included in the course gradebook.

For the Microsoft Excel Online activities students will use the Data Analysis ToolPakLinks to an external site. or XLMiner Analysis ToolPakLinks to an external site. which allows to conduct statistical analysis from within an internet browser. The Analysis ToolPak requires:

• PC users have Excel 2007 or newer version.
• MAC users have Excel 2016 or newer.
• If you do not have the required version of Excel installed in your computer, consider using your Office 365 student account provided to you by UAGC.
