Welcome to the US Consulate at the wonderful country of the Republic of Osnium! As part of the proposed remodel of our facilities, we would like for you to answer some questions regarding our overall process.
Our current system has an average of 9 people arriving at the consulate every hour. At any point in time upon arrival, you are 10% likely to have someone waiting to process through external security, the rest of the time you can instantly begin the initial external security screening process. Upon entering the facility, you are subjected to an identification check by our external security officer that takes approximately 6 minutes to conduct. From there you are escorted to our luxurious waiting room, that on average has 4 occupants at any point in time. When your name is called, you report to our secondary screening officer to determine which department to route your request. The process takes on average 2 minutes to complete.
Approximately 60% of all visits to our consulate are individuals exchanging currency, 30% have issues with their Passport and the final 10% are for Visa Applications. Upon your problem being identified, you enter the specific waiting line for each of the three scenarios. On average, the waiting line for currency exchange has 2 individuals waiting at any given time and upon reaching the teller, takes approximates 5 minutes to complete the currency exchange. For passport issues, only 50% time there is another individual waiting in line ahead of you (the rest of the time you advance straight to the clerk) and on average passport issues are resolved in approximately 35 minutes. For Visa Application, only 20% time there is another individual waiting in line ahead of you (the rest of the time you advance straight to the clerk) and the average visa application interview takes approximately 90 minutes to conduct.
