Welcome Welcome to the Y2 2022 Graduate Attribute (GA) Assessment for the Diploma Civil Engineering Documentation Subject. We hope that this opportunity will not only be one of knowledge application but aid you in developing the critical competencies associated with teamwork, effective communication, innovation and creativity. Objective: To develop the knowledge application and skills toward students completing a set of civil engineering documentation, namely a specification and bill of quantities for a defined scenario as well as understanding scope of conditions of contract including the knowledge of the roles of the different key parties in the implementation of contractural procedures. Outcomes The student will be able to Write a project specification for a component of a Civil Engineering Project, complete a bill of quantities for a component of a Civil Engineering Project and define the responsibilities of key role players and apply conditions of contract to address contractual problems during the construction process. Assessment: This task will be assessed as a Graduate Attribute. Please refer to the Graduate Attribute Definition & Assessment resource for full detail of graduate attributes. This task is assessed by GA 11: Engineering Management: The demonstration of knowledge and understanding of engineering management prinicoples and economic decision-making. Please note that this is a group assignment. The members in a group must be no less than 3 but not more than 4. On the cover page, indicate the level of contribution by each member of the group. The ideal situation is when all members in the group put in equal maximum effort towards the task. The mark that will be allocated to the member in the group would be weighted in accordance to the level of contribution. GA 11: Engineering Management (Documentation) Range Statement: Basic techniques from specification, measurement and taking off, estimation and genereal conditions of contract, applied to one's own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments. This ability is demonstrated for the conditions indicated below: 1. A project specification is defined and carried out comprehensively to ensure that the product, processes, and correct practices are followed consistently by the contractor that wuld ensure the correct installation, workmanship, right quality and type of work delivered
