Well-Mart's occupational health and safety program is now well established. The joint health and safety committee is functioning and meets on a regular basis to discuss concerns and carry out their other responsibilities. Staff have come to recognize the value of health and safety in their workplace.

In a meeting with the store manager, she tells you that she recently heard a manager from another store describing the wonderful results that his company was seeing from their lunchtime yoga program. He said the employees were happier, less stressed, and that absenteeism was down. Your manager is curious as to whether this kind of program or something similar would work at Well-Mart, and asks you to do some research into workplace wellness programs and provide her with a report of what options are out there, and what you would recommend as possibilities for Well-Mart.

Instructions

1. Conduct an internet search on Canada's Top 100 Employers for 2021. Visit the websites of five (5) employers to find out what worksite health promotion or wellness programs they are offering. Cite the names of the employer websites you visited, along with links to their websites.

2. Based on your research, Make sample report for your manager, providing a brief summary of three (3) health promotion or wellness programs or initiatives that you would recommend be considered by Well-Mart and explain your rationale. (consider the type of operation and work that is performed at Well-Mart, number of employees and their demographics, nature of their work, as well as cost) Program summaries and options recommended in your report must not be identical to those recommended by your fellow students.
