Space- Identify which parts of the image are further away or closer to the viewer. Closer objects shoul have clean details and further away spaces should appear more fuzzy or blurred. Mood- Is the piece supposed to evoke a light mood, dramatic mood or dark mood? Make sure the values used evoke the mood of the piece. Tips- *Don't use your finger to smudge or blend, use a Qtip or blending stick. *Use a small piece of paper under the ball of your drawing hand to prevent smudges and prevent dragging the graphite onto your hand. *For softer grays, use your #2 and for darker values, use the 6B. How did you use contrast to identify closer or farther away spaces? How did you use light, value and contrast to identify the focal point/emphasis?
