We're still at the Sorghum Festival and Helen is still bewitched by the broom maker. But before George can make his move, the sheriff's deputy recognizes George. "Aha! There you are! I've been looking for you since before Covid made us shut down the festival!" The deputy then arrested George on a charge that after the $2019$ Sorghum Festival he stole six donkeys the sorghum makers used to run the sugar cane press. The donkeys were valued at $$300$ apiece.  

 

Under Kentucky law, theft over $$1,000$ is a felony.

George immediately turned to the deputy and said, "You're too late, brother. These charges ain't gonna stick!"
